A Pittsburgh native, singer /songwriter Erin Burkett Has Pronounced her soul with uniquely powerful vocals to countless audiences throughout her hometown and the Northeastern United States since 1994.

    Burkett's earliest musical inspiration was formed in traditional spirituals - her vocal stylings remain rooted in the same. Having performed since childhood, Erin began her musical career in 1988 traveling the east coast hotel circuit. Her musical journey has been colored by her love for the blues, a genre in which she lingered…leading her band, The Mean Reds, she secured the loyalty of audiences And accomplished musicians for over a dozen years.

  Ms. Burkett has written and produced two cds of original music. Her most current project is a unique merge of the soulful vocals Erin is known to unwaveringly deliver, teamed with the legendary jazz and classical bassist, Virgil Walters of trio Grande. People Soup Boasts a truly diverse and unexpected lineup of popular music, brought with a decidedly jazzy edge.

     With her sultry voice and infectious spirit, Ms. Burkett has been busy growing dedicated audiences in the tri-state area. Erin's performance experience includes innumerous gigs at clubs and festivals, live television appearances and radio spots, and has lent her vocals to various other's recordings as well. She receives radio play locally, on National public radio, and in Europe. Burkett has shared the stage with John Mayall, Savoy Brown, Robben Ford, Koko Taylor, anders osbourne, and susan Tedeschi.
